there's no way i'm going to remember everything that happened so let's see what i can recall from this anime con.

Friday: so I started off as dark link, got some pictures taken and then i found some actual bracers for my arms and a pouch, so my cosplay got an upgrade, which made me happy, no more cheep ass looking things made of foam now.

I got the list of official photo shoots and managed to make it to like 5 of them, the first one was a classic nintendo/smash bros brawl photo shoot, so i got to show off dark link some more and i found some of my old friends from last year's zelda photo shoot. the coolest damn thing was this Asian guy that i swear had to be a contortionist because he was able to crouch down and sink into this kirby suit that was maybe 2/3 feet tall and walk around in it. We also had a guy do mr game n watch, and several different marios, one which volenteered to get murdered over and over again (personally i was stabbing him in the crotch).

After this i ran to change into casual Tyki Mikk for the D.grey-man photo shoot. There was a Tyki that had already been around and had a full set of cards from the show, which he must have made himself or had commissoned since i still couldn't find them in the dealer's room. Anyways he was going around and scattering these cards at the D.grey-man photo shoot and handing them out to cosplayers from the show, so that was awesome, i got one of his jokers and use it as the top card for my deck just to make it look nice, but i still want to get a full actual deck. I can't think of any really funny moments from this photo shoot right now i'll edit it if anything comes to me.

wrap up friday night by watching Anime Hell, the line for it was long, but it was worth it. They find the strangest shit to show for this, disturbing cartoons, asian commercials, etc. But there are three audience participation sections they had were a member got to pick one of the mystery numbers for the next showing, and the first guy that did it also proposed to his girlfriend on the stage right there. Of course she said yes but then the cartoon that was shown was titled 'rejected' and the host said 'how ironic would it be if she had said no and then this was shown'

Saturday

3 photo shoots, all an hour apart, god that was a lot of changing. Start with 'the world ends with you' I was the only Sho there at the start and then the other one i'd seen makes it over, he had to paint the tatoo on his hand and he gave me some tips for my costume which i appreciate. By the end of the shoot i think we managed to get most of the cast in. Too bad i never really used my megaphone but that's ok, they called for my Sho picture and i jumped over onto a trashcan and sat on that for my pic, perfectly in character as well as a few other good ones of me, i'll have to go hunting on photobucket/myspace/the ACEN forums for links to all these pics.

Next was the kingdom hearts photo shoot, which actually started early i had to like sneak my way into the main group shot. As expected of kingdom hearts we had mostly a full cast, there was only one Zemnas, and they told him to be in character and give a speech so he's striking a jesus pose and says 'blah blah blah KINGDOM HEARTS! blah blah blah ORGINAZATION, blah blah blah' and he really did say the blah blah blah part, i'm not forgetting what it was. Then another Zexion beat him in the head with her book, yeah she was happy i showed up since there was like me and one other Zexion cosplayer, it gets a little lonely. Overall people liked my zexion cosplay, which is funny since i'm still no satisfied with the wig, i'm going to trim up the ends just to get out the curls i swear it, no one seemed to care about that little detail but it's pissing me off.

Last was the zelda only photo shoot, once agian a great time, there were 4 dark links, i lost count of the regular links, bomb link, red tunic link, zeldas, sarias, a few zants and midnas, we had one link with a megaton hammer that was made from metal and the sucker was heavy too, not just a cheap prop, that guy was bad ass carrying that thing around. Sadly no ganons. One of my local friends was also at this photo shoot as saria so she got a picture with me, saria and dark link, that's a story in the making if it hasn't been done already. We managed to get several good shots, we got a bomb link blowing up the hammer link, hammer link getting his revenge, saria messing with zelda, me killing a navi, i did the 'jump on the sword and stab you' pose to an extent.

I lost track of how many times i switched in and out of cosplays, but i kept going back to dark link, i like it too much, it's fucking epic, but not as awesome as the dark links that even paint up their faces black and get the red contacts, but that's ok, some go that extra mile, some don't. So i ended up having a few drinks with my room mates and playing this game 'the king and his men' it's like truth or dare but you don't know who you're daring, we didn't do anything too bad that couldn't be shown on youtube, but we didn't record that much of it anyways and it'll never be posted anyways or we'll murder each other. I can emberrise myself however. I'll just say one of my dares was confessing my love to a wig head pretending it was an anime girl.....

so then there was the rave. I'll be honest, it was kind of a let down this year. In the past years there's a huge like for the rave and it's gone after an hour and the room is full of people having fun. Well the hotel restricted how many could be inside at a time this year, the platforms to dance on weren't there, and the crowd just wasn't feeling it after we were stuck in line for so long. The cool thing however was that one of my friends that was in line for the rave saw me and we talked for a minute, all i said was 'yeah i'm heading to the back of the line to get into the rave' and he just grabbed me and pulled me into the spot next to him. God i love my friends. And once we got inside the were selling glowsticks and stuff, including a glowstick lightsaber. Dark Link + Rave + Glowstick sword=EPIC WIN. I even got my picture taken in there like that, and a rave is usually the last place you try to get pictures of cosplayers.

I'm gonna end this here, nothing really happened on sunday, mostly pack up and leave. But yeah a pretty good time, now i'm probally gonna pass out, i'm too lazy to even spell check the rest of this journal.

Because I have nothing better to do and my last one is old as dirt, journal update, this also saves me the trouble of explaining this individually to everyone that asks about the con.

Friday: we get there get in the hotel, unpack, all that crap. I was Sho Minamimoto from 'The World Ends With You' for most of the day, fun since i found a reaper i could boss around and a Beat so we kept giving each other shit constantly. Best part was us out in the parking lock, each other in headlocks, grunting and yelling at each other. "You wanna go Radian?" "I'll kick your ass pi-face" "try it you stupid zero!" but i hope to find more TWETY cosplayers at ACEN so i can REALLY get obnoxous with my blue megaphone. I went to the 'con virgin' panel (even though i'm not one, i just know the people running it, and i know they are funny) so that was good for a laugh.

Anyways night comes around and I switch to Tyki Mikk from D.Grey-man, it was perfect timing that as i head back to the convention center i'm passing an Allen so i got to terrorize her. I got to 'kill' several excorists that night, ah good times. Anyways I did the tyki thing for the formal dance. The room was tiny, the attendance low, and while some people dressed nice, no one was really into it. My friend wanted to head back to the hotel, so i drove her back, switch to Sho agian and by the time i made it back i missed them playing thriller, well shit there goes my preformance *shrug* Afterwords I stuck around for steve benet's 'how to talk to girl's 18+' panel, once agian not so much for what the panel is about but for the atmosphere, steve's panels are usually good ones, and then i called it a night.

Saturday: so now is a good time to mention we had a gun convention across from us, and they took up all the damn parking spots, and it's raining. I'm in the date auction as squall, so getting all that leather wet in the rain was not fun. As for the date auction, I got screwed, I know it, my friends know it, the people that were also being auctioned know it (they started chanting 'squall! squall! squall! behind the curtain hoping to get people to bid on me). I went for 20 dollars....yeah... The good news, it wasn't just me, most got ripped off. Only a few broke the 100 mark, the average was around 40 dollars this time, its usually higher from what i hear. The shockers were the guy that was after me going for almost 500, yes you read that right, almost 500, i think it was like 492. Sadly not a single person beleivs he didn't set that up, cause it was funny to watch two 'fans' go that high for him, and they were cosplaying characters from the same series as the guy, it was perfect but perhaps would have made for a better masqurade skit. The other good one was Dante and Nero from devil may cry 4, these two were auctioned off together, and they work great together. They spent 10 minutes working up the crowd doing all they could. They stripped of their jackets, they started doing push ups and flexing, they were sparing with each other on stage. Finally they get 200. Still they were a package deal so only 100 each, people just didn't wanna spend much this year or weren't really competitive.

So I got a date with a cute girl, it's sad though since we both were the quiet type, the other bad part is most of us had lunch at the same time as the other auction winners and their dates. The auctionees all know each other, the winners don't, so in a way they were kinda isolated out from things, and most of them left early, mine said she had to go, and was like gone for the day *shrug again* Oh yeah and out waiter stepped on my gunblade and broke the tip, so i get to sand that down now. So gunblade is shot, i decide to switch to kiba for a few hours, that didn't last long, i got bored, and went back to squall if nothing else, just to do the thriller dance, it's like my thing i do since i've seen 'thriller cloud' (and dispit what a certain tifa that was at the con said, my thriller is damn fucking awesome!) I was also at Travis Willinham's (he's a Voice actor if you couldn't guess) uncensored panel, that was fun. He'd get some serous questions, and then we got my friend Zesh in the back that would shout out some interesting questions, and god bless her for that. It was also good having spike spencer (another great VA) there as well which i think at some point travis scared him off, lol. Also the rave we were suppose to have, got shut down early, why i don't know, i've only heard rumors, so we had to go to our rooms, and in my case that involved going out in a mini freakin bizzard for our area, mother nature hates the midwest. On one last note, i got my oginization XIII cloak, it's great and a good deal too, now i just need a light blue wig. (props if you know what character i'm doing from that information)

Sunday: pretty much nothing to say here, we really didn't stick around, we packed up our shit, i stuck around for one of my friends to do her voice acting audition, and we said our goodbyes to people before leaving, and now i'm tired as hell.

All in all 07 is still my favorite, and honestly it probally always will be, but 09 is at the bottom of the list, yeah it wasn't too bad, but the date auction was kinda kill joy, though i appreciate everyone's support that they gave me. The other problem i think is i just didn't really enjoy the atmosphere like i have in the past, i didn't really find a group i kept coming back to, to hang out with, i mean i'm usually all over the place, but there's almost always a set of friends i'll be around constantly, looking back on it i should have stuck with being Tyki, but that's my fault and something to keep in mind for future cons.

Ok so i'm tired of having the same journal up and i said i'd give some reports on my con trips, so what better time than now, when i'm half dead, and back from my last con of the year.

Let's start with ASTL. It wasn't too bad, I had a lot more fun at last years though, but it was cool since i knew a lot of the people that went this year, and yet i still met and made new friends. I had fun with the d.grey-man group, Tyki is pretty fun to cosplay. Of course I had to do squall as well, and spent a good deal of time as renji. The best part had to be walking around with josh as my captian and my friend sarah, as he dead wife. I just wish my wig didn't suck so much and i knew the tatoos better. Also i wish i would have had the thriller dance down for sure by then. Oh well next year.

ACEN. I'll try not to spend too much time on each one or this will never end. I had a blast this year, I was the first or close to the first as far as tyki cosplayers go and i premired my Dark Link cosplay, that was fun. Epic moments included beating eric, (i'm still sorry about the sword) and pulling off the thriller dance as squall. Oh yeah can't forget raving as dark link and getting some girls to vonenteer for the yuri paddle as well as dance with me. It was still fun hanging with my friends and making some new ones, even if we didn't run into each other a lot.

OMGcon. I know my spelling is gonna be horrible, and I'm typing this stuff up as it comes to me. OMG was where i got my first full thriller squall vid filmed and uploaded. It was tiny though, that made me sad, not to mention hot as hell and the company i was staying with, well one was cool, the other i'm not currently speaking too....>.> Anyways I met an awesome old school tifa cosplayer, and I thank her agian for filming me dancing, and thank you too L for filming a second copy, even if you were giggling the whole time.

TNT. Made up for the smallness of OMGcon greatly. Their first con and they did a good job, it reminded me a lot of ASTL. And it was cool going with Link and Erin, and Cathrine. Also it was the first time i entered into a masquerade and our group won 2nd place, i was amazed we got anything. Also the line of camera's to record me dancing was great, hello youtube stardom. Yeah i'm a dork i know.

Archon. It just ended today, it was ok but not really great for anime fans. I wish i had something cosplay wise, that fit in a little better but it was good seeing friends from ASTL down there. Also no thriller this time around.

So that's about it, cons i wanna do next year as of right now, ASTL: I have no reason not to go.
ACEN: I should have more epic cosplays to show off at the biggest con in the midwest. And as for a side note, i will tie up and drag a few certain people with me this comming year if i have to, you aren't allowed to miss it agian!

AWA: I missed it this year and i made a few friends down there that i want to see agian.

nothing is really decided right now aside from ASTL. now cosplays to do, i think i'll be shot if i don't bring squall and dark link to ASTL, i'm also suppose to have a hatori (fruits basket) cosplay if josh get's his cosplay together, Future trunks (not sure how i'm gonna do that all yet, link is suppose to help me with the sword if i get the materials), kiba (he's too fun not to), and my new thing is sho minamimoto from 'the world ends with you. obviously i can't do all of that at one con (or can I?....>.> so we'll see what i end up doing when the time gets closer.

Ok so apparently irondark didn't take down his work out of a change of heart, he got hacked. If someone responded to my journals by hacking him, i really wish you hadn't.

Now i'm being blammed for what happened to him. I would like to make it clear i did no such thing, any of my friends will agree i don't know the first thing about hacking.

Next if something strange happens to my page in the next few days or whatever, then it's probally obvoius i've been hacked, if that happens i think we all know who to blame, and i would appreciate it if you all report irondark, this time for harrassment.

I doubt it'll happen, this is a just in case sort of thing
